“This program is an excellent option for students who want to work in the healthcare field, but may not be sure what specialty they want to go into,” says Lynnea Melham, Program Chair of Ivy Tech Community College. “It’s also a place where everyone starts that is interested in one of the selective programs here. So we have students knowing that they are wanting to apply for the nursing program, take some of the prerequisites, and hopefully get in. However, if they don’t, they haven’t really lost anything.”
Ivy Tech’s Healthcare Specialist program is a great start when applying for one of Ivy Tech’s selective health programs. Graduates from this program currently work in doctor’s offices, clinics, hospitals, and more.
