Kimberly was looking for an education that provided her with flexibility, while caring for her family. Kimberly enrolled in the CompTIA A+ program through the Ivy Tech Gary, and was excited to study computers in-depth and increase her marketable skills.
“The folks at Ivy Tech have been very supportive through this program. Our professor is great and has worked hard to see that my fellow students and I have internship opportunities,” Kimberly said. In addition to real-world internship experience, CompTIA A+ provides services to students such as transportation assistance and childcare.
Upon completion of the program, Kimberly spent time interning at Valparaiso University and preparing for the CompTIA certification exam.
“The training that Ivy Tech provides is the foundation that I needed for my internship and a career in the IT world. I am prepared to enter the workforce in the IT industry.”
