The Fall Harvest in Farmersburg, IN has kicked off with L.G. Hunt Farms, Inc. making the first gift of grain to Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute Foundation’s newest initiative.
Ivy Tech Indianapolis’ hospitality program is gearing up for their 30th Evening in Paris, which will be held on Saturday, April 28 at the downtown Indianapolis Ivy Tech.
This fantastique fundraising event allows students to showcase their culinary skills in grand fashion—all to help earn money for scholarships.
Guests will enjoy an evening filled with delicious French cuisine and great entertainment. Continue reading

Ever since I had found out about Ivy Tech Community College, I was at first skeptical to be a student. I didn’t know of the college at first, my first choice would have been Indiana Tech. But once I found out about the dual credit I had received at the college from the Area Career Center, I was basically sold into wanting to go to the college.
At first, when I went for the orientation, I had attended the now old Gary Indiana Ivy Tech Building. I was so intrigued by how big it was on the inside for such a small building. They had a café, a big student lounge, a whole bunch of computer labs, very nice student life office, and a big tutoring center. Continue reading

At the age of ten, Joyce Mabbitt took a class in which she developed a floor plan for her dream home. While taking this class, she got the opportunity to study building codes, dimensions, and furnishings. Later, she took a computer modeling class in high school that reaffirmed her passion for design. She enjoyed it so much that years later, she pursued a degree in design technology.
Finding a college that meets all your needs as a student can be difficult. Joyce was looking for a program with an affordable tuition, flexible class schedules, and staying local in Lafayette.
I can relate to the panic some feel when they realize it’s time to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). But it’s worth the investment of your time because of the financial benefits you can receive for college.
